BOCA RATON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL is proud to combine a three-decade commitment to quality healthcare with the convenience and accessibility ofits newest outpatient center the Diagnostic Center of BRCH. The Center offers high quality MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound, X-ray and Diagnostic Lab Services in a convenient and comfortable outpatient setting.

QUALITY
Our goal is to provide the high quality technology and resources of Boca Raton Community Hospital’s Imaging Department with the enhanced patient care and personalized customer service we can offer at our new Diagnostic Center. We have the very best equipment and software applications available today. Further, we’re committed to upgrading the Center’s capabilities on an on-going basis.

EXPERT STAFF
Imaging exams are performed by highly-trained technologists and then interpreted by board-certified, fellowship trained radiologists, with specialty-training in Neuroradiology, MRI, CT Scan, Musculoskeletal, OB-GYN, Ultrasound, Body Imaging, and Vascular Services. Radiologists can confer instantly with any of the other subspecialists at Boca Raton Community Hospital by sending imaging cases to them using an active computer data link with the hospital. In addition, any referring physician may review the images taken at the Diagnostic Center while they are making rounds at Boca Raton Community Hospital.

CONVENIENCE AND ACCESSIBILITY
Our Center offers the convenience of prompt appointments and courteous service in comfortable, state-of-the-art surroundings. The 6,000 square foot facility, located on the first floor of the Outpatient Medical Center, just one-quarter mile west of Military Trail on Clint Moore Road, also has ample free parking.

FAST RESULTS
The Diagnostic Center utilizes the same voice-recognition transcription system and auto faxing capability that has been successfully used at Boca Raton Community Hospital providing physicians with prompt, expert results.

CT Scanning
Our Diagnostic Center's GE Lightspeed Plus Multislice Helical Computed Tomography (CT) scanner is the world's first FDA-approved scanner that allows us to capture multiple images of a patient's anatomy, at the same time. This provides scan times up to six times faster than traditional single-slice CT scanners and without the potential breathing artifacts. Scanning can be done in a single breath-hold and the scanner's advanced diagnostic features have the potential to provide better, earlier diagnoses, reduce the number of invasive procedures, and improve patient care.

Applications of the GE Lightspeed system include:

• Oncology/cancer diagnosis
• 3-D reconstruction
• Volume renderings
• CT Angiography
• Pulmonary embolism
• Multiplanar reconstruction for complex anatomy
• Screening Procedures
Cardiac Scoring to detect calcified plaque build-up in the coronary arteries
Low-Dose Lung Screening -to detect emphysema, infection, and cancer at an earlier, potentially curable stage
Whole Body Scanning of the liver, kidneys, gall bladder, pancreas, colon, lymph nodes, prostate, uterus, and ovaries to detect: growths, polyps, benign and cancerous tumors, stones, cysts, aneurysms, and atherosclerosis. Screening procedures may be physician referred or patient referred
• Virtual Colonoscopy - to screen for polyps and early signs of colon cancer utilizing the area's only FDA approved 3-D software for internal visualization of the colon

MRI
Featuring the newest Siemens 1.5 Symphony MRI system complete with a full array of application software, our Diagnostic Center provides the same high-end imaging capabilities you have come to expect from Boca Raton Community Hospital.
Our concern for image quality and patient comfort, especially for claustrophobia, is paramount. The Siemens Symphony design achieves both by featuring a high field, short bore with a flared opening. So, the MRI experience is very comfortable for patients without sacrificing imaging quality which may occur with other open MRI units.
The Symphony system offers high powered gradients, advanced imaging sequences and coil technology to provide the best exam in the shortest period of time. We also use the latest software and hardware technology such as high resolution turbo spin echo, phased array and CP coil technology, and advanced imaging protocols. Our imaging capabilities include:
. Advanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA)
. High resolution evaluation of brain, spine and extremities
. MR Cholangiopancreatography
. Breath-hold abdominal imaging
. Diffusion
. Perfusion
. Body MRA-MRA runoff of both the upper and lower extremities

Ultrasound
Our GE Logic 700 is a state-of-the-art, high resolution ultrasound system, with a full option of scanning applications including:
OB/GYN, Abdominal Imaging, Vascular Imaging (for carotid, venous, and arterial studies, as well as to evaluate for venous insufficiency and Deep Vein Thrombosis), Small Parts (including thyroid, scrotum), Power Doppler, and Tissue Harmonic Imaging.

X-Ray
Digital Radiology provides consistent high quality images that can be post processed to enhance various anatomic details such as bone detail, lung parenchyma, and Edge Enhancements. This can all be done as needed and is specific to each patient's diagnosis. Some of the studies include: chest x-rays, long bone studies, spine surveys, and abdominal and pelvic studies.
Laboratory Patient Service Center (PSC) For the convenience of physicians and patients, a Laboratory Patient
Service Center with blood drawing station is included as an integral part of the Center. Collected specimens are tested at Boca Raton Community Hospital and results are sent to the ordering physician.
